100MP BSI CMOS Sensor

At the heart of the X2D II 100C is a 43.8 x 32.9mm 100MP BSI CMOS sensor, producing extraordinary detail with 16-bit color and 15.3 stops of dynamic range. The sensor and processor have been optimized for improved tonal depth and cleaner results, even in challenging light. Native ISO ranges from 50 to 25,600, and the camera supports 3 fps continuous shooting, ideal for capturing motion with a medium format sensor.

HNCS HDR – True End-to-End HDR Imaging

The X2D II debuts the first true HDR capture system in a medium format camera, producing HDR HEIF or Ultra HDR JPEG files that can be viewed directly on the camera’s OLED display or edited in Phocus Mobile 2.

• HNCS HDR (Hasselblad Natural Color Solution) merges HDR data with Hasselblad’s renowned color science for lifelike tones and detail-rich highlights.

• Expanded P3 color gamut and dynamic range boost shadow and highlight recovery by 3–4 stops, depending on workflow.

• HDR images are fully viewable on HDR-enabled devices such as select iPhones, iPads, and Mac systems.

Leaf Shutter and Electronic Shutter Options

Compatible with XCD lenses, each featuring a built-in leaf shutter that syncs with flash at speeds up to 1/4000 sec, the X2D II provides precise control and consistent exposure.
For greater versatility, users can adapt Hasselblad X-Pan and H-series lenses, as well as other third-party optics, via adapters—utilizing the electronic shutter for speeds up to 1/6000 sec.

Enhanced Autofocus System

Autofocus performance receives a major boost with a 425-point phase-detection AF system and new LiDAR-assisted focusing for faster, more accurate subject acquisition in varied lighting.

• AF-C (Continuous AF) mode debuts for reliable tracking of moving subjects.

• AI-driven recognition intelligently identifies and tracks humans, vehicles, cats, and dogs.
