Featuring an optical construction of nine elements in eight groups, including two aspherical and one extra-low dispersion element, the lens effectively minimizes chromatic aberrations and delivers exceptional image clarity. With a 22mm full-frame equivalent focal length and a bright f/4 aperture, it’s perfect for capturing nature scenes, urban landscapes, and street photography.
Despite its compact size, the lens meets the resolution demands of 100MP sensors, ensuring edge-to-edge sharpness and rich detail across the entire frame. A minimum focusing distance of just 3.5" and a 1:6 magnification ratio make it ideal for close-up shots of food, flowers, and intricate subjects.
The linear stepping motor works in harmony with a lightweight focusing group to deliver fast, accurate, and responsive autofocus performance—especially when paired with the X2D 100C’s PDAF system. Full-time manual focus override allows precise creative control.
Additionally, the built-in leaf shutter supports flash synchronization at all shutter speeds, up to 1/4000 sec, enabling photographers to use flash even under bright daylight for dynamic lighting effects that emphasize the subject while controlling background exposure.
