Product Description

Nikon Z50 II Mirrorless Camera

Compact Powerhouse for Creative Exploration

Powerful, portable, and purpose-built for modern creators, the Nikon Z50 II combines a 20.9MP APS-C (DX-format) CMOS sensor with the advanced EXPEED 7, delivering flagship-level imaging and video performance in a compact, travel-friendly body. Compatible with the full NIKKOR Z lens lineup, the Z50 II is designed to help creators move beyond smartphone photography with professional quality, speed, and versatility.

Image Quality & Performance

  • 20.9MP DX-Format CMOS Sensor + EXPEED 7 Processor
The same image-processing engine found in Nikon’s full-frame flagships powers the Z50 II, enabling crisp detail, smooth tones, and minimal noise across a broad ISO range of 100–51,200 (expandable to 204,800). With AI-powered autofocus and continuous shooting up to 30 fps, this compact mirrorless camera is ready for action, portraits, and everything in between.

Advanced Autofocus with Deep Learning

Borrowing algorithms from the Nikon Z9, the Z50 II’s subject-detection AF recognizes nine subject types, including people, pets, birds, vehicles, and even airplanes.

  • Eye-Detection AF delivers refined accuracy for portraits and now works in custom Wide-Area AF modes.

  • Bird Detection Mode ensures sharp, precise focusing on moving wildlife.

  • Auto-Area AF automatically tracks detected subjects as they move through the frame.

Pre-Release Capture

Never miss the perfect moment—Pre-Release Capture continuously buffers images up to one second before you press the shutter, ensuring you always get the shot, even when reactions are instant.

UHD 4K Video & Creator Tools

The Z50 II records UHD 4K video up to 60 fps and Full HD up to 120 fps, with built-in electronic Vibration Reduction, a self-timer, and Product Review mode. You can record 10-bit N-Log internally and use four new RED LUTs for enhanced grading flexibility.

  • Supports UAC/UAV streaming for direct live broadcasting.

  • Record up to two hours continuously to SD card or external recorder via HDMI.

  • Built-in 4K time-lapse creation directly in-camera.

Creative Color Control

Access 31 built-in Picture Control presets directly from a dedicated top button—even in Auto mode. A live color overlay on the LCD shows real-time effects before capture. Through the Nikon Imaging Cloud, creators can download Creator Recipes and apply personalized color profiles. The Z50 II also includes a one-year subscription to Nikon’s Cloud Picture Controls software for advanced customization.

Intuitive Design & Connectivity

  • 3.2" Vari-Angle Touchscreen flips 180° for vlogging and selfies, with enhanced touch controls and the new Touch FN feature for AF point selection.

  • High-resolution EVF—brighter and clearer for comfortable eye-level shooting.

  • Built-in flash and hot shoe support creative lighting with a new Night Portrait mode.

  • Headphone jack, USB-C (with power delivery), microphone, and HDMI ports for flexible recording setups.

  • SnapBridge enables seamless image transfer and remote control via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

  • EN-EL25a battery supports in-camera charging for extended sessions.

  • UHS-II SD card slot ensures fast data writing for high-resolution stills and video.

Included Lens: NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/2.8 VR

A versatile standard zoom designed for DX-format Z cameras, this compact 11.6 oz lens (3.5" long) delivers a 24–75mm full-frame equivalent range with a constant f/2.8 aperture—ideal for portraits, landscapes, and travel.

Optical Highlights

  • 12 elements in 11 groups with advanced coatings for sharpness and clarity.

  • 9-blade rounded diaphragm for smooth, circular bokeh.

  • 5.9" (wide) minimum focus distance for detailed close-ups.

  • Static angle of view minimizes focus breathing during video capture.

Handling & Performance

  • Vibration Reduction (VR) for up to 4.5 stops of stabilization.

  • STM autofocus ensures fast, accurate, and quiet focusing for both stills and video.

  • Custom control ring for smooth adjustments (aperture, ISO, or exposure).

  • Compact, lightweight build with 67mm filter thread for easy filter use.
