The 82mm Peter McKinnon Signature Edition II Variable ND Filter (6–9 Stop) from PolarPro is designed for lenses with 82mm front threads and delivers an exposure reduction of 6–9 stops (1.8 to 2.7 ND). This darkens the entire image, allowing you to shoot with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed without overexposing. The density is easily adjusted by rotating the front filter ring, making it simple to set your desired exposure length. Slower shutter speeds can create motion blur or convey movement, while wider apertures help control depth of field.

A numbered scale on the front ring ensures precise and repeatable settings, while a built-in haptic feedback mechanism lets you feel a click at each stop without looking. Side knurling offers a secure grip for quick, accurate adjustments, and a hard stop prevents rotation beyond the marked range.

Crafted from quartz glass for exceptional durability, the filter features 16-layer multi-coating to reduce internal ghosting and reflections, maintain clarity and color fidelity, and provide scratch resistance. These coatings also repel water and oil for easier cleaning.

The quartz optics are housed in a lightweight yet robust aluminum alloy frame. For storage and transport, the included Defender 360 hybrid case functions as both a front lens cap and a waterproof, dustproof protective case when combined with the rear cover.
