Designed for extended, high-speed shooting and exceptional clarity, the Westcott FJ250 250Ws Touchscreen Strobe delivers powerful performance in a compact, portable form. Featuring 250Ws of output, lightning-fast recycle times, and a swappable FJ Pro battery capable of up to 850 full-power flashes per charge—the highest in its class—the FJ250 is built for reliability on set or on location. It features a full-color OLED touchscreen, Bowens mount, bi-color LED modeling light, and user-requested enhancements like group indicator lighting and shared battery compatibility with the FJ400 II and FJ800. With full FJ wireless system integration, it streamlines your workflow for consistent, precision lighting.
Intuitive and Portable
The OLED touchscreen interface makes the FJ250 simple and intuitive to use, while a built-in help guide supports users of all levels. Its native Bowens S-type mount accommodates popular modifiers, and the included insert allows seamless use with Rapid Box Switch softboxes. Compact and easy to handle, it’s Westcott’s most portable off-camera flash yet.
Performance and Control
With a 9-stop power range (0.98–250Ws) adjustable in 0.1 and 1.0 increments, the FJ250 adapts to diverse lighting needs. It offers a 1/29,600s peak flash duration, up to 50 fps burst, HSS up to 1/8000s, and ±3 FEC for refined exposure control.
Creative Mask Mode
The Creative Mask feature enables up to six programmable lighting combinations from a single setup—perfect for fast-paced or multi-look shoots. Configure the sequence directly from the touchscreen to create dynamic results without repositioning lights.
Seamless FJ System Integration
Part of the 2.4 GHz FJ wireless ecosystem, the FJ250 works flawlessly with FJ-X and FJ-T1 triggers, the FJ80 speedlight, and the Westcott StudioLink app for remote control and wireless adjustments.
Long-Lasting, Swappable Power
Powered by a 29.6V 74Wh AC/DC lithium-ion battery, the FJ250 delivers 850 full-power flashes or thousands at lower power settings on a 1.5-hour charge. The included FJ Pro battery features LED charge indicators, and the optional FJ ProMax battery boosts capacity to 1,400 full-power flashes. The shared battery system across FJ400 II/FJ800 units eliminates redundant gear, and AC trickle charging ensures continuous use.

A bi-color LED modeling light (2700–6500K) provides accurate previews, helping fine-tune composition and lighting setups with professional precision.
Mounting, Connectivity & Accessories
The FJ250 includes a Bowens S mount, 5/8" tilting bracket, and 9mm umbrella receptacle, along with a USB-C port for firmware updates. It ships with a magnetic 5.5" reflector, gel set (CTO, ½ CTO, window green, diffusion), Rapid Box Switch insert, and a protective gear case.
