FJ400-SE 400Ws Studio Strobe (US, 110V)

Westcott’s FJ400-SE is an AC-powered strobe designed for simplicity and reliable performance, while retaining key features of the original FJ400. Ideal for portrait, product, and studio work, the FJ400-SE offers a wide 6-stop output range (12.5 to 400Ws) in fine 0.1 and 1.0-stop increments. It supports fast recycle times from 0.5 to 1.0 seconds, with flash durations as short as 1/200 sec, ensuring consistent exposure in fast-paced environments. This version includes a 14.8’ US AC power cord for plug-and-play operation.

Weighing just 3.9 lb, the FJ400-SE is compact and easy to handle, delivering accurate 5500K color temperature and a 15W daylight LED modeling light. Designed for simple operation with minimal setup, this strobe is perfect for photographers familiar with or new to the Westcott FJ system.

Thanks to its 400Ws output and stable power delivery, the FJ400-SE ensures uniform lighting over long shoots. With fast (0.5–1.0 sec) and stable (up to 3.0 sec) recycle modes, short t0.1 flash durations (1/200–1/300 sec), and a manual-only interface with front/rear curtain sync, it’s well-suited for studio precision and creative effects.

With a built-in 2.4 GHz receiver, the FJ400-SE is fully compatible with Westcott's FJ-X3 M trigger, FJ speedlights, and receivers. Additional triggering options are available via optical sensor and a 3.5mm sync port.

Flexible Light Shaping

Equipped with a Bowens S-type mount and a 9mm umbrella receiver, the strobe supports a wide array of modifiers. The integrated tilt bracket with 5/8" receiver allows easy mounting. Included are a 55° magnetic reflector and gel set (CTO, 1/2-CTO, diffusion, window green, gel frame) for creative color control.

The FJ-X3 M is a multi-brand compatible 2.4 GHz wireless trigger designed to work with most Canon, Nikon, Sony (with adapter), FUJIFILM, Panasonic Lumix, and Olympus cameras.
