Westcott FJ400-SE 400Ws Studio Strobe (110V, US Plug)

The FJ400-SE is Westcott’s streamlined, AC-powered version of their renowned FJ400 strobe. Built for simplicity, it retains core features in a manual-only format while integrating seamlessly into the FJ wireless system thanks to its built-in 2.4 GHz receiver. The unit offers a broad 6-stop power range (12.5 to 400Ws), adjustable in both 0.1 and 1.0-stop increments, with a rapid 0.5 to 1.0 sec recycle time and short flash durations starting at 1/200 sec. This version includes a 14.8-foot US AC power cord.

Flash durations range from t0.1: 1/200–1/300 sec and t0.5: 1/200–1/1200 sec, offering precise control for freezing action. Front and rear curtain sync modes add creative versatility.

Fully Integrated Wireless Ecosystem

The strobe works wirelessly with Westcott’s FJ triggers and speedlights (sold separately), thanks to its internal 2.4 GHz receiver. With 16 groups, 32 channels, and a range of up to 328', it ensures reliable operation—even in high-interference environments. An optical sensor and 3.5mm sync port offer additional triggering methods.

User-Friendly Control

A large LCD screen and intuitive interface make the FJ400-SE easy to operate. Additionally, the Westcott StudioLink app gives you mobile control over the light’s settings—including Creative Mask and Delay functions—right from your smartphone.

Light Shaping Made Easy

Compatible with a wide variety of Bowens S-mount modifiers, the strobe also includes a 9mm umbrella port. The built-in tilting bracket has a 5/8" receiver for mounting. Accessories include a 55° magnetic reflector and a gel kit (CTO, 1/2 CTO, window green, diffusion, and gel frame) to fine-tune your output.
